Year 2 have had an exciting and creative week as part of their topic, Where We Live. The children enjoyed producing fantastic Frankenstein artwork inspired by the style of Pablo Picasso, experimenting with bold shapes and colours to create eye-catching portraits.

As part of their learning in geography, the class took a walk around the local neighbourhood, using maps to identify key locations and track where they were. Along the way, they learned about different street names and street signs. The children also spotted the coat of arms representing Madrid — the bear and the strawberry tree, surrounded by seven stars and topped with a crown — displayed in several places around the area.

To top off the fun, everyone enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and taking part in a school-wide Trick or Treat activity. It has been a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and celebration for Year 2!
