Students across the school took part in a lively programme of activities to mark Pi Day, celebrating mathematics in fun and engaging ways.

The day began with a striking whole-school moment, as students gathered on the football pitch to form a giant human circle—bringing a key mathematical concept to life in a memorable and visual way.

During junior break, creativity was on full display as younger students shared and played maths games they had designed themselves, demonstrating both collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Later, the school garden became the setting for an exciting catapult competition, while Further Maths students visited Junior classes to present and explain inspiring mathematical ideas, fostering a sense of curiosity and cross-year learning.

The celebrations continued with a Pi recitation competition, where students showcased their impressive memory skills by recalling as many digits of π as possible. Congratulations to the winner for an outstanding performance.
