TEMS was bursting with colour, laughter and excitement across all our campuses on Friday as pupils from our youngest infants to our pre-university students came together to celebrate Carnaval in true festive style.

From the moment the gates opened, the classes were filled with an array of imaginative costumes. Our youngest children arrived proudly dressed as their favourite storybook characters, from brave knights and magical princesses to curious animals and beloved superheroes. Older students joined in with equal enthusiasm, transforming into famous film characters, iconic sporting heroes and well-known literary figures. It was a joy to see creativity on full display across every year group.

The celebration was made even sweeter when everyone paused to enjoy a special snack of waffles and juice. Students gathered with friends, comparing costumes and sharing smiles, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere that truly reflected the spirit of the day.

One of the highlights of the celebration took place in the Explorers hall, where Mike organised a lively Samba concert for students in Years 7, 8 and 9. The rhythmic beats and vibrant music quickly filled the space, and it wasn’t long before students were clapping along and moving to the infectious Carnaval rhythms. The concert brought a wonderful sense of energy and community, helping everyone feel immersed in the festive spirit.

From our youngest infants to our pre-university students, Carnaval was a day of joy, creativity and togetherness. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of celebration, cultural appreciation and shared experiences in school life.
