Our Years 7, 8 and 9 students headed out of the classroom for Global Be Well Day, spending a full day enjoying the outdoors at Monte de Pilar.

The day combined a walk through the countryside, fresh air, planned physical activities and a picnic, giving students the opportunity to be active, spend time together and enjoy a change of environment.

In true Montessori ‘Going Out’ style, the experience was about much more than the destination. Students travelled by public transport, encouraging them to develop independence, responsibility and practical real-life skills along the way.

It was a fantastic opportunity to combine physical wellbeing, time outdoors and learning beyond the classroom — and a great way for our Key Stage 3 students to celebrate Global Be Well Day together.
