Year 10 Explore Madrid’s Bourbon History
Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed an educational visit to the area surrounding Madrid’s Royal Palace, exploring the city’s rich Bourbon heritage and discovering how this important period shaped the capital we know today.
The visit directly complemented topics studied in Social Sciences throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Madrid’s historical development and the lasting influence of the Bourbon monarchy on the city’s architecture, urban planning and cultural identity.
Learning in the very places they have been studying in the classroom brought history to life, allowing students to make meaningful connections between their lessons and the world around them. It was a valuable and engaging experience that enriched their understanding of Madrid’s fascinating past.
