The oldest students in Discovery House graduated last week. The same children that were entrusted into our care four years ago. Today we give them back to their parents, kilos heavier, cms taller, years wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were back then.
Although they would have grown despite us, it has been our pleasure and privilege to watch these personalities unfold day by day.
We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together. Having spent four years together, we would keep the children if we could but it is time for them to take a new path. The juniors path. They are ready for it, although we as parents might not be!
So as we bid farewell to Year 2 we leave them with this message, in the words of Winnie the Pooh…
