Last Saturday, December 15th, we officially inaugurated Discovery House, the new building for Infants at The English Montessori School in Madrid. A space prepared and designed to promote learning through a careful and stimulating environment that allows kids to experiment and to gain independence.
During the opening event of Discovery House, we had the opportunity to listen to speeches by the British Ambassador in Spain, Simon Manley CMG, the Vice President of the British Chamber of Commerce, Adam Austerfield, Fidelma Murphy as Educational Advisor of Cognita Spain, Irene Nela, former student of the school, and the Headmistress of TEMS, Sarah Ebery, as hostess.
A day full of excitement where, in addition to cutting the ribbon thanks to our little Infants’ helpers, we were able to spend time with all the members of our beloved community at TEMS: teachers, parents, students, alumni, Cognita staff and institutions that support our school and generate a great bond with the United Kingdom as a British school in Spain.
Thank you very much to all of you who came to celebrate with us this milestone in the history of TEMS.
